4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Itinerary
Day 1
Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Rose Valley → Dades Valley
Your 4-day Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour begins with pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We leave the city and travel into the High Atlas Mountains, following a scenic road through mountain villages, valleys and the Tizi n'Tichka Pass.
We stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous fortified villages in Morocco. You will have time to explore the old ksar and enjoy views over the surrounding landscape.
After the visit, continue toward southern Morocco and travel through the Rose Valley, an area known for its villages, kasbahs and changing desert scenery.
In the late afternoon, arrive in the Dades Valley, where dramatic rock formations and traditional settlements create one of the most beautiful landscapes along the route.

Day 2
Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Merzouga
After breakfast in the Dades Valley, we continue toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge. The road passes through palm groves, traditional villages and dry mountain landscapes.
At Todra Gorge, enjoy time to walk beneath the high canyon walls. The narrow gorge and rocky cliffs make this one of the most impressive natural stops on the journey.
We then travel toward Erfoud, a desert town known for dates, fossils and its position close to the Sahara.
In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. From here, begin your camel ride across the golden sand and enjoy the changing colors of the Sahara as the sun sets.
Continue to the desert camp for dinner and an evening in the peaceful Sahara atmosphere before spending the night in your tent.

Day 3
Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate
Wake early if you would like to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, leave Merzouga and begin the journey west toward Ouarzazate.
The first stop is Rissani, a historic town with strong links to the Sahara trade routes and the surrounding Tafilalt region.
Continue through Alnif, passing wide desert plains, rocky landscapes and small towns before reaching the Draa Valley.
The Draa Valley is one of the most beautiful parts of southern Morocco, with long palm groves, traditional villages and kasbahs stretching along the valley.
In the afternoon, continue toward Ouarzazate, where you will spend the final night of the tour before returning to Marrakech the next day.

Day 4
Ouarzazate → Atlas Studios → High Atlas Mountains → Marrakech
After breakfast in Ouarzazate, begin the final day with a visit to Atlas Studios, one of the best-known film studios in Morocco.
The studios contain sets and locations connected with international films and television productions created in the Ouarzazate region. Entrance fees, where required, are not included unless stated otherwise in your booking.
After the studio visit, leave Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains. The road offers changing mountain scenery, valleys and viewpoints along the way.
Arrive in Marrakech later in the day, where your 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga ends with drop-off at your hotel or riad.
